Let's get your banners online
We have put together this handy guide that tells you best practice, what we need from you, and when.
1. Main message
Let us know the main message you’d like to convey to our audience and what you hope to gain from banner advertising.
To drive the best response possible, we need USPs – think about what will entice someone to click on your banner.
Some possible aims include:

Promoting a new product, range or service

Promoting an offer, deal or sale

Raising awareness of your business or brand

Generating interest in an event
Our banner sizes:

Billboard: 970 x 250px

2. Images
The sizes of the banners included in your package will determine the size at which you need to supply your images.
Our banner sizes:

Billboard: 970 x 250px
-
Leaderboard: 728 x 90px
-
Sponsorship Banner: 728 x 300px
-
MPU: 300 x 250px
-
Double MPU: 300 x 600px
-
Mobile Leaderboard: 320 x 50px
-
Site Takeover: 160 x 600px (left) + 160 x 600px (right)
Provided images should be at least the width or height of the longest side of the largest banner in your package (e.g. if your package includes a billboard banner, please ensure all images supplied for use are at least 970px in width, and/or if your package includes a double MPU, please ensure all supplied images are at least 600px in height).
Please include a range of images that you are happy for our team to use in your banner designs, so that they have options to choose from and/or the ability to use multiple images in rotation to better convey your message: 8 – 15 images is ideal.
If you would like us to use images of your stock on your banner designs, please ensure you make it clear if you want specific items of stock featured over others, and provide images/links to these items, otherwise the stock images used will be at the discretion of our design team.

3. Logo
In addition to the images you provide, please also provide us with a logo for your business that can be used on your banners.
This should be provided as a PNG file with a transparent background, so that it can be used over any background.

4. Copy
Please provide us with any wording, slogans or straplines you would like used alongside your visual assets on the banners.
Banner copy should be kept as short and succinct as possible to ensure it works within the limited space available.
There may be occasions where the amount of text has to be reduced slightly, or split across several slides, on our smaller banner sizes. Our design team will use their professional judgement as to the best way to do this without losing the impact of your message (use the switch to see an example of text reworked onto multiple slides on a smaller banner size).


Please make it clear where copy should be used in titles, subtitles or body text, and include any business contact details you would like to be featured on your banners.
5. Link
Please provide us with one main URL you’d like us to send users to when they click on your banner.
We have the ability to track banner clicks natively, but if you would like your own visibility on the traffic driven to your site, please ensure the URL you provide us with has been correctly appended with UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) parameters that will allow you to track the traffic in your own Google Analytics account.


6. Design amendments
Please ensure the brief you supply is clear and extensive, and is accompanied by all necessary assets, so our design team can build you the best possible solution in the first instance.
If you’d like to make any changes to the designs once the banners have been supplied for your approval, one round of changes is included in the cost of your package – any further amendments required will be charged at £50 per round.


All assets must be provided 3 working days before the agreed live date.
